Randal Lee Phelan

October 27, 1945  -  December 21, 1972

Dr. Randal Lee Phelan, 27, a local veterinarian from Panama City, Fla., died December 21, 1972  as a result of a boating accident in the Gulf of Mexico. 

Mr. Phelan was born Oct 27, 1945 in Newark, the son of Mrs. Richard F. (Lois) Lowendick and the late Lt. William F. Phelan.

Dr. Phelan graduated from Newark High School in 1963 and from the Ohio State Veterinary College in 1970. He was affiliated with the Panama City Animal Hospital, Panama City, Florida at the time of his death. He was a member of Alpha Psi Fraternity, the Ohio AVMA, the Florida AVMA and a member of the Neal Ave. United Methodist Church of Newark. He had lived in Panama City for the past two and one half year.

 Surviving beside his Mother are, two brothers, Mickey and Timothy of the home. Two sisters, Miss Toni Ann Phelan of the home and Mrs. Kelly Caulifield, Newark. His step-father, Richard F. Loewendick, grandfather, Charles Forster of the home.

Memorial services for Dr. Randal Lee Phelan, 27, of Panama City, Florida will be held at 7:30 p.m. in the chapel of the Brucker & Kishler Funeral Home. The Rev. George C. Vance will officiate.
