A funeral service for Gary Wayne Turner, 57, of Newark, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Newark Chapel Of Henderson-Van Atta & Johnston Furneral Service, with the Rev. Robert Knox officiating. Burial will follow in Wilson Cemetery.
Mr. Turner, who retired from Owens Corning Fiberglas, died February 25, 2003, at Licking Memorial Hospital. He was born November 13, 1945, in Woodsfield to Eleanor Jean Cline Ambrus of Newark and the late Brady E. Turner.
He was a graduate of Newark High School class of 1963.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his son, Brent A. Turner and Doug E. (Jennifer) Turner of Powell; sister, Rita R. Stout; one grandchild, Ashley B.Turner; nephew, Scot A.Veatch; stepbrothers, Michael (Marilyn) Ambrus, Patrick ((Debbie) Ambrus and Daniel(Teresa) Ambrus, all of Newark, and stepsister, Kathleen (Tom) Spring of Newark.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his stepfather, Michael S. Ambrus. |
